Seven die in Attock road mishap
ATTOCK: At least seven persons died including one woman while over two dozens were injured as a bus carrying passengers plunged into a ditch near Hassan Abdal tehsil of Attock district, Geo news reported.
According to sources, the accident took place early on Thursday morning while the bus was bound to Lahore from Mansehra when the driver lost control over bus due to over speeding a few miles away Wah Cantt and it fell into a ditch.
Subsequently, seven persons died on the spot of whom, three bodies were taken out shortly while four more corpses remained stuck in bus for some time and were later recovered, sources said.
The deceased persons included Muhammad Banaras, Anisa Bibi, Fazal Karim, Gulraiz, Rafaqat Gul, and Muhammd Arif while one body has not been identified yet, hospital sources said.
Injured people said more than 50 persons were onboard while 16 wounded persons have been discharged from hospital after first aid treatment, hospital sources said.
