HOBART : Pakistan scored 94-4 against Australia on the second day of the Hobart Test here on Friday.
Australian paceman Peter Siddle breaks through, claiming two wickets in four balls to put his team on top close to the end of play on the second day off the Third Test. After a 63-run opening stand, the Victorian claimed Imran Farhat caught behind by Brad Haddin for 38. It was Haddin’s 100th dismissal in Test cricket. Just four balls later, Siddle induced a slash outside off-stump from Khurram Manzoor, who edged the ball to Ricky Ponting at second slip to be dismissed for a duck.
Later, two run outs put Pakistan into deep trouble. First captain Mohammad Yousuf was out taking third run from his off-drive and then young Umar Akmal was also runout. Yousuf made seven and Umar got eight with the help of two fours in an over.
